Frequently asked questions
What does a full electrical installation cost in a new build?
For a single-family house (approx. 140 m²), the cost of a full electrical installation is typically between €15,000 and €30,000, depending on the number of outlets, switches, desired smart home integration and lighting design. We provide a detailed quote after planning.
Which smart home systems do you install?
We install and programme KNX and Busch-Jaeger free@home as well as wireless solutions. KNX is the open standard with the widest choice of manufacturers. free@home is easier to set up and usually cheaper – wired, wireless or hybrid, so it also suits retrofits. We can also install Loxone on request. We advise which system fits your requirements and budget.
Loxone or free@home – which is better?
Both systems are mature but take different approaches. Busch-Jaeger free@home can be installed wired, wireless or as a hybrid, is easy to set up via app and therefore also suits refurbishments. Loxone works with a central Miniserver and offers many automations from one source, but ties you to the Loxone system. Our focus is on KNX and free@home; we also install Loxone on request. Which system suits you depends on budget, building and your wishes – we are happy to advise.
What is an E-Check and do I need one?
An E-Check is a standards-based inspection of the entire electrical installation. It reveals safety issues (faulty wiring, defective protection, fire risks) and is recommended for insurers and when selling property. We recommend an E-Check every 5 years or on change of ownership.
Do you install wallboxes for electric cars?
Yes, we install wallboxes from all common manufacturers (ABL, Fronius, Keba, Webasto, etc.). Cost including installation is between €1,500 and €3,000 depending on model, cable length and installation effort. The federal grant for private wallboxes ended in March 2026; there is currently no federal funding for them. Especially efficient combined with a PV system – then you charge your car with your own solar power.
Can you do the electrical work for a PV system?
Yes, as an electrical contractor we handle the full AC-side electrical installation for photovoltaic systems: meter cabinet upgrade, inverter connection, storage integration and grid connection. We work closely with our PV team so everything comes from one source.
Do you do lighting design?
Yes, we offer professional lighting design for residential and commercial spaces. This includes LED retrofit of existing lighting (up to 80% less electricity for lighting), recessed spots, indirect lighting, outdoor lighting and smart home light scenes.
