Frequently asked questions

What does an air conditioning system cost for an apartment?

A single-split system for one room (up to 35 m²) costs including installation approx. €2,500–€4,000. Multi-split systems for 2–3 rooms cost approx. €5,000–€9,000. Cost depends on manufacturer, cooling capacity and installation effort. We provide an individual quote after a site visit.

Can an air conditioner also heat?

Yes, modern split systems work as air-to-air heat pumps and can both cool and heat. They are ideal as supplementary heating in shoulder seasons (autumn/spring) and are very energy-efficient with an SCOP of up to 5.0. That means: from 1 kW of electricity you get up to 5 kW of heat.

How loud is a modern air conditioning unit?

The indoor unit of a modern split system runs at around 19–22 dB(A) in the lowest mode – about whisper level. The outdoor unit reaches around 45–50 dB(A), similar to a quiet conversation. We ensure optimal placement during installation for minimal noise.

How often does an air conditioner need servicing?

We recommend professional servicing once a year, ideally before the cooling season. Service includes filter cleaning, refrigerant level check, disinfection and function test. Regular servicing extends lifespan (15+ years) and keeps efficiency high.

Can I control the air conditioner from my phone?

Yes, most modern air conditioners offer WiFi modules and apps for smartphone control. We can also integrate air conditioning into existing smart home systems (KNX, Busch-Jaeger free@home, Loxone, Home Assistant) on request. Temperature, timer and mode can then be controlled conveniently via app or voice assistant.
